Deputy Finance Miller resigned due to too lax fiscal policy proposed by BaucThe government is to take preliminary decisions concerning the guidelines on the 2001 budget on Friday, Prime Minister Jerzy Buzek said yesterday. Deputy Finance Minister Jerzy Miller, who resigned two days ago, explained yesterday that he could not agree with the fiscal policy proposed by Finance Minister Jaroslaw Bauc for the next year. He said also he did not like the way Bauc behaved after director within the ministry Witold Skrok stepped down last week in protest to the budgetary assumptions for 2001. According to Miller, there was enough room to cut fiscal deficit, though he did not give any detailed figures.
