Johnston: Poland to play a role in OECD's plans for Russia
Poland should try to increase the FDI inflows in order to improve its current account balance, OECD Secretary-General Donald Johnston said in Warsaw yesterday. Johnston also believes that Poland should reduce its inflation rate, which amounted to 11.6% y/y in July. He also said that OECD had prepared a major programme of co-operation with Russia, in which Poland could play a major role as a bridge between Russia and states of the former Soviet Union.
