Provision of security for Rolls-Royce SMR liabilities
In connection with the signing of the contract for the construction of
small modular reactors between Rolls-Royce SMR and Great British
Energy – Nuclear, CEZ, together with the other shareholders, has
provided a counter letter of credit in relation to a letter of credit
issued in favour of Rolls Royce SMR. The letter of credit forms part
of a financial assurance requirement that GBE-N requires as
a necessary precondition for the contract. The amount of security
provided by CEZ is GBP 60.8 million with a validity of 2 years with
possible gradual renewal until 31.12.2033. CEZ is a strategic partner and shareholder of Rolls-Royce SMR through its 100% controlled subsidiary CEZ Holdings B.V. |
