BNP Paribas bank to take over BNP-Dresdner Polska
BNP Paribas wants to buy 50% of BNP-Dresdner Polska from Dresdner Bank. BNP Paribas said that once the transaction is approved, the bank will be named BNP Paribas (Polska) and will be included in the structure of BNP Paribas group. This is part of the agreement BNP Paribas and Dresdner Bank signed last week, ending their regional partnership in Central and Eastern Europe. BNP Paribas will take over Dresdner Bank's stakes in its joint ventures in Hungary and Bulgaria, while Dresdner Bank will acquire BNP Paribas's stakes in joint ventures in Russia, the Czech Republic, and Croatia.
