Sugar companies of SSC to join Polski Cukier
Treasury Minister Aldona Kamela-Sowinska aanounced that the 16 sugar companies in the holding company Slaska Spolka Cukrowa (SSC) would not be sold to the French concern Saint Louis Sucre (SLS), which had waited for eight months for a permit from the Interior Ministry to execute the sale agreement. Kamela-Sowinska said the sugar companies will be included in the state-oned concern Polski Cukier, which is being created. SLS announced it would fight for the sugar plants in court. It is now waiting for the decision of the Supreme Administrative Court (NSA) to which it had lodged a claim on the issue. kp,bb
