| Zarząd KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. („Spółka”) informuje, że w dniu dzisiejszym wyraził zgodę na zawarcie trójstronnego porozumienia pomiędzy KGHM Polska Miedź S.A., NuScale Power LLC – producentem rozwijającym reaktory w technologii SMR (small modular reactors - małych reaktorów modularnych) i PBE Molecule Sp. z o.o. Sp. k. – firmą doradczą, dotyczącego przygotowań do realizacji inwestycji polegającej na budowie jądrowych źródeł energii („Porozumienie”). Porozumienie zostanie podpisane w dniu 23 września 2021 roku i będzie obowiązywać do 23 września 2024 roku. Porozumienie dotyczy rozwoju technologii jądrowej w formie repoweringu istniejących turbin węglowych lub rozwoju nowych źródeł energii jądrowej w formie SMR – od 1 do 12 modułów o mocy po 77 MW. Realizacja projektu rozwoju energetyki jądrowej przewidziana jest do końca 2030 roku, przy czym Spółka zakłada, że pierwszy z reaktorów nuklearnych zacznie funkcjonować w 2029 roku. Podstawa prawna: Art. 17 ust. 1 MAR (Rozporządzenia Parlamentu Europejskiego i Rady (UE) nr 596/2014 z dnia 16 kwietnia 2014 r. w sprawie nadużyć na rynku (rozporządzenie w sprawie nadużyć na rynku) oraz uchylające dyrektywę 2003/6/WE Parlamentu Europejskiego i Rady i dyrektywy Komisji 2003/124/WE, 2003/125/WE i 2004/72/WE (Dziennik Urzędowy Unii Europejskiej z dnia 12 czerwca 2014, nr. | Consent to sign an agreement on nuclear energy development The Management Board of KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. (“the Company”) announces that today it consented to sign a tripartite agreement between KGHM Polska Miedź S.A., NuScale Power LLC, a producer involved in the development of reactors using small modular reactor (SMR) technology, and PBE Molecule Sp. z o.o. Sp. k., an advisory company, with respect to preparations to advance an investment involving the construction of nuclear energy sources (“the Agreement”). The Agreement will be signed on 23 September 2021 and will be in force to 23 September 2024. The Agreement involves the development of nuclear technology in the form of repowering current coal-fired turbines or the development of new nuclear energy sources in the form of SMRs – from 1 to 12 modules, each generating 77 MW. Completion of the nuclear energy development project is expected by the end of 2030, however the Company assumes that the first nuclear reactor will begin operations in 2029.
