| The Board of Directors of Kofola ČeskoSlovensko a.s. informs that today the Board of Directors of its subsidiary HOOP Polska sp. z o.o. (“HOOP Polska”) approved the discontinuation of production in Bielsk Podlaski, one of its three production facilities. The concentration of production in Kutno and Grodzisk Wielkopolski, where the plants were expanded and modernized in recent years, will help to maintain high quality of products, improve the competitive edge, and mitigate the impact of the mounting price pressure on the Polish market. The termination of production in Bielsk Podlaski will not have any negative impact on the delivery of products to existing customers. HOOP Polska has today conveyed the information on commencing the group layoff procedure to the competent Regional Labor Office (Powiat) and has approached employees’ representatives to consult the support program. The restructuring in HOOP Polska is planned to take place in the period from August to December 2016. It is estimated that the downsizing will affect up to 137 employees of HOOP Polska in various occupational groups, representing about 26% of the total number of its employees. The final number of employees affected by restructuring and the related costs and savings will be known after HOOP Polska completes the consultation process with the employees’ representatives. Hoop Polska is planning determined focused initiatives to develop and promote new products in order to consolidate the position of the company as one of the biggest and strongest drink producers in Poland. |
