A main objective is to become one of the top ten banks in Poland in terms of cash loans, currently Getin estimates its market share at 4.18 percent. "At the end of June the value of granted loans exceeded zł.1 billion [of the total zł.12.8 billion of loans granted by the institution]. I expect that at the end of the year it will exceed zł.2 billion," said Jarosław Dowbaj.
Following H1, cash loans rose by 60 percent, while in June and July alone Getin granted zł.200 million each month. "We are changing from a product bank to a relation bank," said Tomasz Tomaszewski, retail clients director. Getin is simply trying to win greater client loyalty and earn more on cross-selling.
