| Zarząd Spółki Genomtec S.A. z siedzibą we Wrocławiu („Emitent”, „Spółka”) informuje, iż dziś powziął informację o pozytywnej decyzji kanadyjskiego urzędu Patentowego przyznającej Spółce ochronę patentową na wynalazek pn. „A method of detecting genetic material in a biological sample and a device for its implementation”. Przyznanie patentu uwarunkowane jest wniesieniem przez Emitenta wymaganych opłat urzędowych na co Zarząd Genomtec S.A. wyraził zgodę. Wynalazek obejmuje kluczowe rozwiązania techniczne związane z autorskim systemem bezkontaktowego grzania i detekcji temperatury opracowanym na potrzeby m.in. platformy POCT Genomtec ID. Emitent informuje, że jest to pierwszy patent przyznany przez kanadyjski urząd patentowy i jedenasty patent otrzymany przez Spółkę. Emitent jest w toku ponad trzydziestu zgłoszeń patentowych na całym świecie. Zarząd Emitenta uznał, że otrzymanie powyżej decyzji o udzielaniu ochrony patentowej stanowi informację poufną, gdyż w przypadku podmiotu działającego na rynku diagnostyki molekularnej konieczne jest skuteczne zabezpieczanie własności intelektualnej i przemysłowej. Należycie zabezpieczona własność intelektualna i przemysłowa może stanowić o przewadze konkurencyjnej Emitenta – a jej bezpieczna komercjalizacja jest możliwa pod warunkiem zapewnienia pełnej ochrony na wybranych rynkach. Zdaniem Zarządu wysoki poziom ochrony własności intelektualnej zapewni Spółce również odpowiednią pozycję negocjacyjną przed podpisaniem umów komercyjnych z wybranymi partnerami w zakresie realizacji strategii komercjalizacji. Postępowania patentowe mają na celu zabezpieczanie kluczowych interesów oraz wpisują się w strategię rozwoju Emitenta uwzględniającą budowanie portfolio praw własności intelektualnej. Zaś diagnostyka POCT z wykorzystaniem platformy Genomtec ID jest kluczowym obszarem działalności Emitenta |

| Receipt of the decision on granting patent protection for the invention in the territory of Canada The Executive Board of Genomtec S.A. („Company”, „Issuer”) registered in Wroclaw, Poland, hereby reports that today The Company has learned about a positive decision of the Canadian Intellectual Property Office granting the Company patent protection for an invention entitled "A method of detecting genetic material in a biological sample and a device for its implementation". Granting a patent is conditional on the Issuer paying the required official fees for which the Management Board of Genomtec S.A. has agreed. The invention covers the key technical solutions related to the proprietary contactless heating and temperature detection system developed for POCT platforms, including Genomtec ID.The Issuer informs that this is the first patent granted by the Canadian Intellectual Property Office and the eleventh patent received by the Company. The Issuer is pending over twenty patent applications all over the world. The Issuer's Management Board decided that the receipt of the above patent is confidential information, as in the case of an entity operating on the molecular diagnostics market, it is necessary to effectively protect intellectual and industrial property. Properly secured intellectual and industrial property may constitute the Issuer's competitive advantage - and its safe commercialization is possible provided that full protection is ensured on selected markets. In the opinion of the Management Board, a high level of intellectual property protection will also provide the Company with an appropriate negotiating position before signing commercial agreements with selected partners in the scope of implementing the commercialization strategy. Patent proceedings are aimed at securing key interests and are in line with the Issuer's development strategy, which includes building a portfolio of intellectual property rights. POCT diagnostics using the Genomtec ID platform is the key area of the Issuer's operations. For these reasons, in the opinion of the Management Board, this information meets the criteria of confidential information within the meaning of Art. 7 sec. 1 MAR. |
