Restaurant operator AmRest finalized a 10-year master franchise agreement to run pizza maker Pizza Hut outlets in Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia, and plans to open over 200 Pizza Hut restaurants in Russia within 5 years, the company said in a filing.
AmRest will consequently become the operator of 16 Pizza Hut outlets in Moscow and master-franchisee of 29 outlets currently run by independent sub-franchisees in the three countries.
In April 2017 the company said it inked terms to acquire 18 Pizza Hut restaurants in Russia and 36 restaurants operated by multiple sub-franchisees in the country.
