Listed video games developer CD Projekt has sold 35 million copies of Cyberpunk 2077 since its launch in December 2020, the games developer said in a presentation. The figure covers copies of the game sold separately and in the Ultimate Edition bundle.
Joint CEO Michal Nowakowski told an audio webcast that the interest in the Cyberpunk franchise on PlayStation remains strong and the game continues to reach new groups of players on that platform.
“We are particularly glad to see that many of these new players choose to buy the Phantom Liberty expansion and expand their adventures in the night city,” he added.
The joint CEO also presented plans concerning the expansion of the team working on one of the new projects, Cyberpunk 2.
As of October 30, 2025, the development team working on that title amounted to 135 persons, up from 116 as of July 31, 2025, the company said in its results presentation.
“Currently, the Boston-based part of Cyberpunk 2 team consists of over 80 members with more than 90% of them holding senior-level positions. Having accomplished our goal of building a strong leadership team at its core, we are now shifting to hiring more mid-entry level roles to carry on with pre-production works. We plan to expand the Boston-based Cyberpunk team as the project progresses and double it within the next two years,” Nowakowski announced.
The plan is also to shift the split between the Boston-based team and the teams in Vancouver and Warsaw to around 50 pct in the coming years, as the Canadian and Polish team will be steadily growing in size as well, he added.
“Establishing the Boston-based Cyberpunk 2 enabled us to carry on with the development of two separate big AAA games at the same time,” Nowakowski noted.
As for Witcher 4, the company’s representatives confirmed that the title is in the full-scale production phase and that it will not be launched in 2026.
The development team working on Witcher 4 grew to 447 persons at the end of October, 2025 from 444 at the end of July.
