The company's deputy CEO says they don't want to stop at that. In order to attract even more buyers, Travelplanet is adding a new distribution channel to the existing online services and call centers. "The internet is developing really fast, but some people are still reluctant to execute internet transactions or they simply haven't got credit cards. That is why we decided to adopt a tried '3C' strategy: click, call and come in. We will open our offices in the shopping centers of the biggest cities where everyone can come until 9pm and buy a ticket or a trip for cash or using a card," said Tomasz Moroz, co-founder and deputy CEO of the company.

The company management announced it will spend zł.2.5 million on the firm's shares in order to prove that their e-business is a safe investment. "When we were setting up the company five years ago not even such big players as TUI had their own website. Today, we are the biggest online tourist agency in Poland and the second biggest in Central Europe," said Moroz.

Travelplanet.pl, Poland's leading online tourism agency, has officially announced its IPO - worth zł.6 million. It will be the first e-commerce company listed on the WSE. Even though online travel agencies account for only two percent of the whole tourism market, their growth is impressive. From May 2004 to May 2005 Travelplanet.pl registered a 500 percent increase in its number of customers.
