"Integration will enable us to lower costs thanks to improving logistics, joint purchases and unification of IT processes," said Wojciechowicz. In his opinion this operation should be concluded in spring 2009.
The firm is also working on acquisitions in the segment of delicatessen and supermarkets. According to its representatives the financial crisis might be helpful, as smaller players might soon face problems, Bomi has cash to finance expansion. "Bomi does not necessarily have to carry out acquisitions abroad, as it can still do a lot in Poland," said Dorota Puchlew of ING Securities.
