Kredyt Bank to sell its stake in BOS in October
Kredyt Bank wants to sell its 19.8% stake in Bank Ochrony Srodowiska (BOS) to Sweden's Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken (SEB) in October. The likely value of the deal is to reach PLN 50mn (USD 11mn). The sale would substantially increase Kredy Bank's revenue and net profit, which has been planned for PLN 180mn (USD 39.6mn) for this year. After eight months, the bank reported a net profit of PLN 114mn (USD 25mn). Kredyt Bank decided to sell its stake in BOS after its plans for taking control over that bank were blocked by BOS's main shareholder, the National Environmental Protection Fund (NFOSiGW).
