In line with German regulations, Comarch will now have to make a call for the remaining almost 50 percent stake in the firm, while total expenditures is likely to reach euro 22 million. "We have reserved the full amount in case the call was a 100 percent successful. We anticipate, however, that as a result of the call our involvement in the firm will increase to 70-80 percent," said Konrad Tarański, deputy president of Comarch in charge of financial affairs.

SoftM has roughly 2 percent share in the local ERP market, but it also provides integration services and applications for the financial sector. "We purchased SoftM, as its offer, in terms of the core product, as its complementary to our offer. We aim at lower level clients. Our new acquisition offers a solution for mid-size clients," said Konrad Tarański.

SoftM is present in a number of other markets, but its main problem is poor results.
