The main purpose of entering into the new market segment is to improve the company's budget. TPSA's revenues from telecom services have been on a downward trend for several months, with its H1 revenues being 2.8% less than those generated in the same period of 2006. "In the beginning of next year we plan to introduce a loyalty program for our customers, which will be connected with the introduction of credit cards. The next step will be loans," said Maciej Witucki, the company's president, and former head of Lukas Bank. An important element in the strategy will be played by TP SA controlled company PayTel, which specializes in electronic payment systems. Company representatives want to come into close collaboration with online stores. "A customer making a purchase in the online store, could identify himself by his full name and the phone number. Then the shopping bill would be added to the phone bill sent by TPSA to the customer," explains Witucki.
