Plazynski likely to lead the new party
Plazynski did not rule out taking the leadership in the election platform he has stared to form together with Olechowski and Tusk. In a radio interview, Tusk said Plazynski should lead the group. Tusk also commented on many declarations of a wish to join the group, that not everybody would be accepted, but only those people and political organisations that had shown they can act energetically. He added that he counted on the Conservative Peasant Party (SKL), a member of AWS, to join. At the same time, deputies of UW, who want to leave their party and join the new formations said they were considering the creation of a new parliamentary floor group. UW's deputy Miroslaw Drzewiecki said that the decision should be taken this week. The other possibility is that they would act as independent.
