"Such actions, as completely conflicting with international law, are a reason for my objection and condemnation," stated the announcement. An announcement from the Foreign Ministry was not as harsh, but it did state that "Poland supports the respect for the territorial integrity of Georgia. We are still waiting for the execution of the six point plan agreed on by Sarkozy and Medvedev."

Representatives of the Ministry also said they hope that the European Commission will soon approve a unified stand, which supports the sovereign Georgia. Russian authorities were also strongly criticized by other EU states and the US.
