Elektrim wants to write off a part of its debt
Power and telecom conglomerate Elektrim said it wanted to write off 40% of its nearly EUR 500mn worth of debt in a move to avoid bankruptcy. The company also said it wanted to repay the remaining sum until Dec. 2004. Elektrim expects that in the nearest future it might stop repaying debts that is why it decided to launch the composition proceedings in the Warsaw court.
