Puls Biznesu has gained access to the report prepared by telecom giant TP entitled "The Strategy of supporting the development of telecommunication investments in Poland between 2008-2011."

The document relates to government plans that envision significant investment in telecom infrastructure, which according to the Telecommunications Institute could reach zł.25 billion. "We are not investing, as the regulator forces lower rates, while the authorities do not run pro-investment policies," states the report.

It also puts forward propositions, which aim at helping the entire sector develop. TP wants to introduce partnerships between private and public institutions, as well as improved use of EU subsidies.

However, the most controversial demands are limiting the power of the telecom sector watchdog, the Electronic Communication Office (UKE), headed by Anna Streżyńska.
