Poland will talk with Russia on the second line of Yamal gas pipeline
Poland will start concrete talks with the Russians on the second line of the Yamal gas pipeline shortly, Economy Minister Janusz Steinhoff said Wednesday. Steinhoff said Poland was interested in the second line of the Yamal pipeline to go through Poland. The Russians want Poland to start talks and take a decision fast. Another Russian scenario envisages the construction of the pipeline under the Baltic Sea. Ukraine expressed serious concerns about these plans as it would loose gas and oil supplies from Russia, as well as income from transit fees.
