Nurses continue their protest
Nurses continued their countrywide protests after rejecting the government's offer of PLN 203 (USD 49) wage increase in the health sector next year. Talks with the government might be resumed this afternoon, provided the nurses suspend their protests, which include strikes, hunger strikes, and sit-ins. The health ministry said, however, that negotiations can only cover such issues as professional training and improvement schemes for nurses, but not wage hikes.
