Shoe firm Wojas announces plans to merge with Protektor

"This will most likely take place next year. I do not hide the fact that I would prefer Wojas to take over the entity," said Wiesław Wojas.

However, Protektor claimed that it has not received any actual offer from Wojas, but interesting projects would be considered both in terms of Poland and foreign markets. "Traditional shoes with our logo and specialist products of Protektor will perfectly supplement each other in one group," said Wiesław Wojas.

Rafał Jerzy, one of the main shareholders in Protektor, said "From a sector point of view this makes sense. There were, however, no such talks and it all depends on the terms of the transaction."

Both firms have cooperated with each other on numerous occasions for some time.
