PHOTON: Photon Energy announces the acquisition of 60% of a 999 KWp project in Slovakia

The Management Board of Photon Energy on 5 August 2010 announces the acquisition of a 60% equity stake in Fotonika s.r.o. from SIGN s.r.o. Fotonika s.r.o. holds the project rights to a 999 KWp photovoltaic project in the municipality of Prša. The total consideration for the equivalent of 0.6 MWp project right is EUR 220,000 (CZK 5.45 million, PLN 876,850). The remaining 40% of Fotonika s.r.o. is owned by SUN4ENERGY s.r.o., Photon Energy's partner in three previously acquired photovoltaic projects in Slovakia (see EBI report 27/2010).

The project is prepared for immediate construction. Photon Energy intends to realize the project for its proprietary portfolio and to obtain grid-connection in 2010Q4.

Photon Energy and its board members are unrelated to the principals of SIGN s.r.o. and SUN4ENERGY, s.r.o.
