Naspers, which also recently purchased domestic instant messenger Gadu Gadu, has proposed GBP18 per share, which translates to GBP946 million (zł.4.77 billion) all up. "Final approval of the offer and the conclusion of the transaction will take a few months, and should be resolved by March 2008," said Allegro.pl spokesman Patryk Tryzubiak. Allegro.pl accounts for 70-80% of Tradus' profits, and in Tryzubiak's opinion, Naspers seems to be an attractive partner for the group, which also owns Polish websites Payback, OtoMoto, OtoDom and price comparison tool Ceneo. Allegro.pl is used each month by 7.4 million people and it is believed to be the seventh most popular Internet auction site in the world. "This is in fact not an auction site anymore, but an e-commerce platform, as most products sold via this tool are new and offered by small companies.
