Michał Szubski, president of PGNiG told Parkiet that his management board is analyzing the offer. According to Parkiet sources, Orlen might also be looking with interest at the public offer of Enea, but no official comments were made by the firm. In turn, current CEO of KGHM Mirosław Krutin believes that the firm should invest in the energy sector, but according to official statements it might not be interested in Enea.

However, analysts believe that purchasing a minority stake in Enea by state owned firms is debatable as, in their opinion, an investment by Orlen or PGNiG would only be reasonable if eventually they were planning to take over operating control over Enea. Interest of domestic firms might, however, save the IPO scheduled for October.
