| Zarząd Arctic Paper S.A. („Spółka”, „Emitent”) informuje, iż w związku z trwającymi pracami nad półrocznym jednostkowym sprawozdaniem finansowym Emitenta za pierwsze półrocze 2017 rok oraz przeprowadzonymi testami na utratę wartości aktywów Arctic Paper Investment AB (spółka posiadająca 100% udziałów w Arctic Paper Grycksbo AB, „APG”), w dniu dzisiejszym podjął decyzję o dokonaniu odpisów z tytułu utraty wartości posiadanych przez Emitenta udziałów w wyżej wymienionej spółce w wysokości około 33 milionów złotych. Odpis z tytułu utraty wartości wynika ze zmian założeń testu utraty wartości przeprowadzonego metodą zdyskontowanych przepływów pieniężnych w zakresie wolumenu produkcji, cen sprzedaży oraz bieżących i prognozowanych cen celulozy. Odpis spowoduje obniżenie wyniku brutto Emitenta oraz wartości sumy bilansowej w sprawozdaniu finansowym Emitenta za pierwsze półrocze 2017 roku. Jednocześnie Emitent informuje, iż powyższy odpis nie spowoduje zmian w skonsolidowanym sprawozdaniu finansowym Grupy Arctic Paper S.A. za ww. okres sprawozdawczy. Ostateczna wartość utworzonego odpisu aktualizującego uzależniona jest od zakończenia przeglądu półrocznego i zostanie zaprezentowana w jednostkowym sprawozdaniu finansowym Emitenta za pierwsze półrocze 2017 roku, które będzie opublikowane w dniu 28 sierpnia 2017 r. Mając na uwadze powyższe Zarząd Spółki podaje do publicznej wiadomości wybrane wstępne szacunkowe dane finansowe za pierwsze półrocze 2017 roku: Wybrane pozycje skonsolidowanego rachunku zysków i strat Grupy Arctic Paper S.A. (w tys. złotych): 1H 2017 Przychody ze sprzedaży 1 476 989 EBIT 77 147 EBITDA 140 059 Zysk/(strata) netto z działalności kontynuowanej 49 899 Zysk/(strata) netto 45 897 Wybrane pozycje jednostkowego rachunku zysków i strat Emitenta (w tys. złotych): 1 H 2017 Przychody ze sprzedaży 69 300 EBIT 9 711 EBITDA 9 936 Zysk/(strata) netto 3 731 Przedstawione wyniki finansowe zostały sporządzone na podstawie wstępnych danych finansowych za I półrocze 2017 roku zakończone dnia 30 czerwca 2017 roku osiągniętych przez Grupę i Spółkę. Szacunki dokonane zostały według najlepszej wiedzy Zarządu na dzień ich sporządzania i w oparciu o założenie, że nie powstaną i nie ujawnią się okoliczności, które mogłyby istotnie wpłynąć na wynik finansowy po dniu opublikowania szacunków. Ostateczne skonsolidowane i jednostkowe wyniki finansowe uzależnione są od zakończenia przeglądu półrocznego i zostaną zaprezentowane w skonsolidowanym raporcie półrocznym Emitenta za pierwsze półrocze 2017 roku, który będzie opublikowany w dniu 28 sierpnia 2017 r. | Current report number 14/2017 Dated: 23 August, 2017 Subject: Recognition of an impairment allowance to assets of Arctic Paper S.A. and preliminary consolidated and standalone financial results for H1 2017. Legal basis: Art. 17 sec. 1 of MAR – inside information Content: The Management Board of Arctic Paper S.A. (the "Company") informs herewith that in reference to the ongoing review of the standalone half-year financial statements for 2017 and impairment tests held on assets of Arctic Paper Investment AB (the company holding 100% of shares in Arctic Paper Grycksbo AB, “APG”), as of today a decision was taken to recognised an impairment allowance to the shares held by the Issuer in the company of about PLN 33 million. The abovementioned allowance is a result of a change of assumptions underlying the impairment test (conducted according to the discounted cash-flow method) as to the production volume, sales prices and forecast pulp prices. The impairment charge will decrease the gross results and asset value in the Issuer’s standalone financial statements for H1 2017. At the same time, the consolidated financial statements of the Arctic Paper Group for the period will remain unaffected. The final amount of the recognized impairment charge is dependent on the finalisation of the half-year review and will be disclosed in the Issuer’s standalone financial statements for H1 2017 to be published on 28 August 2017. The estimates have been made subject to the best knowledge of the Management Board as at the date of preparation hereof and with the assumption that no circumstances will arise and occur that could materially affect the preliminary financial results after the publication hereof. The final consolidated and standalone financial results are dependent on the finalisation of the half-year review and will be disclosed in the Issuer’s consolidated financial statement for H1 2017 to be published on 28 August 2017.
