Wojtowicz: CA deficit to grow in October
Grzegorz Wojtowicz, a member of the Monetary Policy Council (RPP), said yesterday that Poland's CA deficit would grow faster in October, having dropped to an unexpectedly low level in September. He believes the gap would increase from September's USD 594mn to USD 900mn-1bn. This growth will follow the payment of USD 150mn interest on Brady bonds made by the Finance Ministry in October. Another RPP member, Wieslawa Ziolkowska, said October's deficit would amount to between USD 800mn and USD 850mn.
