Products from the new facility would be sold in Romania, but also exported to Hungary, Bulgaria and other former Yugoslavian states. Currently, total production capacity of the firm's plants in Poland, Russia and Ukraine stands at 70 million sqm annually and thus the new project will boost this figure by over 10 percent.
Construction of the new plant will commence at the beginning of 2009 and, "We hope that the first phase will be ready by the end of 2009. Further expansions of the production facility [to the planned level of 12 million sqm] will depend on market development, but according to preliminary plans it will start around 2010," said Artur Kłoczko.
