The company‘s long-term goal is to have 40 percent of its livestock coming from its own farms. To this end, it plans investments of around zł.50-60 million in the development of its farms. Duda also wants to develop its distribution network, which in the long term should consist of 25 distribution centers.
Ukraine plays an important role in the company‘s vision of the future. „We want to build a second Duda in Ukraine,” the company‘s financial director, Rafał Oleszak, declared. Duda already owns the Ukranian slaughter company Borys, and now it wants to develop its livestock-supply arm in the country. It plans to buy and modernize five or six farms, which will have a breeding capacity of up to 250,000 porkers.
Furthermore, the company is currently in acquisition talks with a number of Ukrainian meat producers. Duda is ready to invest as much as zł.100 million in Poland‘s eastern neighbor. „In Ukraine we want to create a meat holding which in two to three years could enter the Warsaw Stock Exchange,” Duda said.
Duda underlined that the company will find it hard to complete all the planned projects, but will choose only the most profitable ones. „We will carry out at least one investment in every segment,” Duda promised.

Meat producer PKM Duda plans to issue another set of shares at the end of this year. The issue will be restricted to current shareholders. „The goal of the issue is to become the leader of the meat industry in Poland,” PKM Duda‘s president, Maciej Duda said, adding that the company plans to raise zł.150 million from the offer. The company wants a 10-percent market share in slaughter and meat production. Duda added that if investors support the company‘s plans, the goal could be met in two to three years.
