| BORSODCHEM NYILVÁNOSAN MŰKÖDŐ RÉSZVÉNYTÁRSASÁG 21 March 2007 CANCELLATION OF LISTING BorsodChem Nyilvánosan Működő Részvénytársaság ("BorsodChem") notice of intention to cancel the listing of its Global Depositary Receipts (the "GDRs") on the London Stock Exchange. BorsodChem hereby gives notice pursuant to Listing Rule 5.2.8, that in connection with the recommended public purchase offer of First Chemical Holding Vagyonkezelő Korlátolt Felelősségű Társaság (“FCH") for BorsodChem, approved by the Hungarian Financial Supervisory Authority, and made available for public inspection at the Document Viewing Facility in accordance with Listing Rule 14.3.6 on 8 November 2006 and the exercise by FCH of its call option right to squeeze out any remaining holders of registered ordinary shares of BorsodChem, whose shares are anticipated to be cancelled by the board of Directors of BorsodChem on 20 March 2007, BorsodChem now intends to apply to the Financial Services Authority for the cancellation of the listing of its GDRs on the Official List and to the London Stock Exchange for the cancellation of the admission to trading of its GDRs on the London Stock Exchange's market for listed securities. It is anticipated that the cancellation of the listing of the GDRs will take effect from the start of business on 30 March 2007 to coincide with the expected delisting of the registered ordinary shares of BorsodChem from the Budapest Stock Exchange on 30 March 2007.
