Softbank to create a joint-venture company with Computer Associates International
The computer systems company Softbank is to create a joint-venture company with the U.S.-based Computer Associates International (CA). The new company will offer e-business services, including high-speed Internet access and online software sales. "We want to offer the same technologies in the region as CA offers in the West," said Softbank's CEO Aleksander Lesz. The agreement with CA means that the company will not look for a strategic investor in the nearest future. Lesz did not exclude, however, that CA might become one later on.
