| The Supervisory Board of SLEEPZ AG („SLEEPZ“ - ISIN DE000A2E3772) yesterday appointed Alexander von Tschirnhaus as a further member of the Executive Board of SLEEPZ AG as of 1 August 2018. Mr von Tschirnhaus’ main areas of responsibility will be Purchasing, Marketing & Sales and he will help support the Group’s Investor Relations activities. He will continue to oversee the operating activities of the Group’s subsidiary sleepz Home GmbH and its subsidiary Cubitabo GmbH as Managing Director. Alexander von Tschirnhaus is the co-founder and Managing Director of Cubitabo GmbH (www.bettenriese.de), which was acquired by sleepz Home GmbH at the start of 2018. As such, he has been well acquainted with online retail in SLEEPZ AG's core market for many years. As part of this acquisition, Mr von Tschirnhaus was also appointed as Managing Director of sleepz Home GmbH. Prior to the creation of Cubitabo, he was also co-founder of Codiga GmbH, a provider of a digital bonus programme for end customers in the retail sector. In the years prior to this, he worked as a management assistant at Deloitte & Touche GmbH where he helped establish European collaborative operations, and he also worked for BMW AG, Daimler AG, Valentino USA and the United Nations. Alexander von Tschirnhaus is an economics graduate and studied in the Faculty of Management and Economics at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum. The increase in the number of Supervisory Board members to four, as resolved by the Annual General Meeting of 19 June 2018, has also been entered into the Commercial Register. The candidate chosen by the Annual General Meeting to join the Supervisory Board, Dr Marc Mogalle, has since taken up office. Mr Mogalle studied economics and business sciences in Hanover and St. Gallen and obtained his doctorate from the University of Oldenburg.
