P4, the operator of Play, is developing very dynamically and expects to have two million clients by the end of this year, almost two years after its launch. It anticipates 2008 revenues of zł.800 million, which is almost three times more than last year's zł.235 million, but the breakeven point is expected no sooner than in 2010.
"The attempt to sell Play is a rational move of Novator and the best time to sell P4. The fund sells rapidly developing businesses and a "beautiful" future," said Paweł Puchalski, analyst with DM BZ WBK.
Apart from the previously mentioned bidders, sources claim that Play might be an interesting target for Swedish TeliaSonera. Potential participants of the transaction deny the speculation.
