Under the agreement, the Company granted to TRIMED exclusive rights for three years to distribute the CompuFloTM Epidural instrument in Poland, with the rights to renewal, subject to certain conditions being met.
According to numbers provided by the Central Statistical Office in Poland, the addressable market includes over 8 million people suffering from chronic pain in Poland each year. Additionally, the Ministry of Health and the Polish National Health Fund are preparing legislation to allow the reimbursement of epidural anesthesia in natural childbirth.
The Company believes that TRIMED is an ideal distribution partner, as the principals have proven track records in launching new medical devices in Poland.
