Poland's largest energy concern Orlen will recognize PLN 1.5 bln (EUR 0.35 bln) write-offs in the consolidated report for the third quarter, the company said in a market filing.

As stated, impairments of assets will be recognized mainly in Downstream Segment, particularly as a result of the CAPEX spent on the New Chemistry Project (PLN 1.1 bln) and the Hydrocracking Unit at Orlen Lietuva (PLN 0.3 bln).

On the standalone level, the impact of impairments will amount to ca. PLN 1.2 bln.

CAPEX spent in 2025 on the New Chemistry Project amounted to PLN 2.7 bln, whereas in total, since the launch of the project in 2021 to 30 September 2025, including spending on the Olefins III, total CAPEX amounted to PLN 16.8 bln.

The one-offs are currently under review by the auditor and may be subject to change in the final version of the Q3 consolidated financial report, which the company will publish on November 20, 2025.
