Three energy giants agree to jointly construct power plant

The agreement between the three parties envisages construction of a power block with a capacity of 100-150 MW, while estimated cost of the investment might reach euro 300 million. Parkiet has unofficially learnt that the construction should be concluded by 2011, but so far no details on the mode of financing have been provided.

In line with the agreements, Energa will organize the construction, PGNiG will supply gas, while Lotos will be the main energy buyer. Energa hopes that thanks to constructing a new power plant it will be possible to balance the energy needs of the Pomorze region and to boost energy security in the region.
