The decreased production has also lead to a fall in orders from Delphi plants in Poland. "We have suspended temporary employment," said Agnieszka Przymusińska, the company's spokesperson. Volkswagen Poznań is also laying off temporary staff.
"We are not prolonging the contracts of temporary employees whose contracts expired at the end of November. This is a difficult decision as we have invested a lot in their training," said Piotr Danielewicz of Volkswagen Poznań.
Other companies following these steps are Cooper Standard Automotive Polska, Eaton Automotive, as well as production plants belonging to MAN.
