The treasury ministry may float 35% of TPSA this year
The Treasury Minister Aldona Kamela-Sowinska said that if France Telecom (FT) pulled out from the option to purchase a 16% stake in the Polish dominant telecom operator TPSA, the whole 35% stake owned by the Treasury, might be floated on the Warsaw Stock Exchange this year. However, the newly appointed minister admitted, that it would be difficult to place such a large stake on WSE. In February France Telecom announced it would not exercise the option to buy 10% of TPSA at PLN 38 per share and another 6% in the public offering, quoting unfavourable conditions in the telecom sector. The option expires in July. kp
