SEB buys 27.5% in BOS
Sweden's Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken (SEB) bought in block trades on Monday nearly 6.23 million shares representing 27.5% of the share capital of Bank Ochrony Srodowiska (BOS). The price of the shares ranged from PLN 88 (USD 18.78) to PLN 115 (USD 25.26)m, while the stock was traded at PLN 69.3 (USD 14.8) during the fixed-price session on the bourse. SEB paid PLN 399.6mn (USD 85.6mn) for the stake, which means Kredyt Bank and Rolmex received more than they had expected. Kredyt Bank's president Stanislaw Pacuk had recently said that he expected to cash a net of PLN 50mn (USD 11mn) from the sale of the bank's 19.97% stake in BOS. The estimated Kredyt Bank's net profit from yesterday's sale, however, could have amounted to PLN 90mn-PLN 95mn (USD 19.3mn-USD 20.3mn).
