PKP to expand in chemical industry
According to unofficial information the Polish dominant refinery PKN Orlen is interested in taking over several chemical plants in Poland to develop its petrochemical activity. According to the report of "Puls Biznesu" daily it plans to participate in the upcoming privatisation of Kedzierzyn, Police, Tarnow and Dwory chemical plants. However, PKN expressed concerns that it would have to compete not only with Western giants, but also with Russian ones. It was said that the gas giant Gazprom and oil company Lukoil are eyeing the Polish market. kp
