Elektrim might split its telecoms and power operations
The Polish largest conglomerate company Elektrim confirmed that it was considering splitting of its telecoms and power operations. The company, however, said that its final decision would be taken when the company concludes its talks with Deutsche Telekom and the French telecom company Vivendi. Elektrim's spokeswoman Ewa Bojar said it was too early to predict if two separate companies would be listed. Following the uncertainty over Elektrim's future strategy, as well as Moody's announcement to place the company's rating under review for a possible downgrade, the company's stock lost 16% of its value since last Tuesday dragging down the entire market. kp,bb
