The tender for advisor in the privatisation of PKO BP is called off
The Treasury Ministry cancelled the tender to select a privatisation advisor for PKO BP, the Polish largest savings bank, which is wholly owned by the state. The ministry announced none of the six submitted bids met its requirements. The ministry wanted to selected a firm to prepare a pre-privatisation analysis, as well as a privatisation strategy for the bank. Earlier this week, Treasury Minister Aldona Kamela-Sowinska said the strategy for PKO BP's privatisation might be submitted for government approval before the summer holidays, but now this deadline seems unlikely, since now the ministry must work on a new tender. bb, kp
