SLD/UP leads in polls with just 28% support
According to the survey by Ipsos-Demoskop, if parliamentary elections took place in July, the currently ruling coalition of the Democratic Left Alliance (SLD) and the Labour Union (UP) would win again, although they would be voted for by just 28% of voters. They would be followed by the opposition radical farmers union Self-defence (Samoobrona) with 11% support, the conservatist Law and Justice (PiS) with 10%, the liberal Civic Platform (PO) with 9%, and the junior partner in the ruling coalition, the Polish Peasant Party (PSL) with 6% support. 5% of votes would be cast for the nationalist League of Polish Families (LPR) and 4% for a number of smaller organisations and parties. A large number of respondents (22% of those who would participate in the elections) said they did not know what party they would vote for. kp,bb
