KGHM to expand to foreign markets
Polish copper and silver producer KGHM Polska Miedz is considering expansion on foreign markets, KGHM's spokesman Jerzy Pietraszek said on Monday. Pietraszek added that the company had launched initial talks on co-operation with potential foreign partners already. "KGHM should play an active role in the consolidation of the copper sector," he said, and added that thanks to high copper prices and a weak zloty KGHM was able to report strong financial results in 3Q of 2000.
