Government considers limiting employment for pensioners

The government is considering to limit employment possibilities for pensioners, in order to give the young people chance to find job in the tight labour market. The Labour Ministry considers three versions of the solution: to ban pensioners from work at all, which according to experts is rather unlikely; to introduce stricter income criteria -without lowering of the retirement benefits the pensioner would be able to earn about PLN 500 (USD 119.6), as compared to PLN 1430 currently; to raise significantly the contribution to the Labour Fund, which employers have to pay for their employee. kp,bb
