Decision on RG sale postponed again
The decision whether a 75% stake in Rafineria Gdanska (RG), Poland's second-largest oil refinery, is to be sold to UK's consortium of Rotch Energy or the Hungarian oil concern MOL has been postponed and now should be made by the end of next week. Nafta Polska, the state-owned company that supervises restructuring and privatisation of the fuel sector, conducted talks with both bidders last week, but exchange of information between the parties continues. On Feb 27, Nafta Polska's CEO Maciej Gierej said that its final decision concerning the sale of RG's shares or possible cancellation of the tender should happen over the following week. kp,bb
