Only two bidders for RG refinery
According to the daily newspaper Puls Biznesu, there will be only two bidders for Poland's second largest oil refinery Rafineria Gdanska (RG). An unidentified source said one of them would be a consortium of the US-based companies Rotch and MW Kellog with a few investment banks, while the other one would be the Hungarian oil company MOL. Other potential bidders including Polish banks, are to withdraw from the tender. The deadline for placing bids is today, but the newspaper's source believes the treasury ministry will try to annul the tender and change its conditions, so that it would be possible for Poland's largest oil company PKN Orlen to participate as well. The plans are to sell 75% of RG by July. kp,bb
