The Management Board of Photon Energy a.s. announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary - Photon Trading s.r.o., has started as of 12 October 2009, its activity as value-added reseller of SMA products, covering the Czech and Slovak markets. SMA Solar Technology AG, is the world's leading manufacturer of inverters and monitoring equipment for photovoltaic power plants.
The cooperation with SMA strengthens the market position of Photon Trading since SMA commands a dominant position on the Czech market and looks set to be the market leader in the developing Slovak photovoltaic market. Photon Trading's ability to offer high quality bankable PV modules, inverters, balance-of-system components and related consulting services is setting the company apart from its wholesale competitors in both the Czech and Slovak markets.
The cooperation with SMA is part of Photon Energy's effort to align itself with leading global companies in the photovoltaic industry and follows the previously announced cooperation agreements between Photon Finance s.r.o. and Allianz AG in the area of insurance products for photovoltaic projects.
