Photon Energy enters busy solar power plant construction season
Prague, 9 June 2010 – Photon Energy is preparing to commence construction on a number
of photovoltaic projects in the Czech Republic and Slovakia representing over 32 MWp of installed
capacity scheduled for completion in 2010. A selection of these projects is listed below:
· 1 500 kWp power plant in Drnov, near Kladno in the Central Bohemian region
· 580 kWp power plant in Jasenná, near Jaroměř in the Hradec Králové region
· 2 031 kWp and 495 kWp power plants in Zvíkov, near České Budějovice in the South Bohemian
region
· 1 000 kWp and 1 650 kWp power plants in Dolní Dvořiště, near the Austrian border in the South
Bohemian region
· 2 350 kWp Komorovice, near Humpolec in the Vysočina region
· Three 999 kWp power plants in the Babina and Hrušov municipalities in Slovakia.
The main technologies that will be used across these projects comprise of string inverters
from SMA, central inverters from Advanced Energy, and poly- and mono-crystalline solar panels
from Yingli Solar, Tianwei New Energy and Aide Solar, among others.
Photon Engineering’s Head of Engineering, Jiří Mazánek, remarked, “We have tripled the
size of our engineering team since the beginning of the year to meet the capacity needs of these
projects. Despite a very rainy start to the season and some supply chain challenges, we have made
steady progress towards preparing these projects for construction. We have the engineering talent
and resources in place to construct and deliver top-quality turn-key solar power plants for our
clients and for our own portfolio.”
